I recently got a new mac running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 so I installed WoW. The first time it installed perfectly well but then whilst trying to patch I was getting incredibly slow download speeds. After trying a number of things suggested in the blizz technical support, as well as by others online, I uninstalled the game and attempted to re-install it.
I now have the exact same issue with the client download. The battle.net client refuses to download the game any faster than 400-500 KB/s.
I've tried port forwarding, resetting the router, disabling firewall, flushing my DNS, deleting agent files, reinstalling bnet, creating a new admin account and running from there, even deleting my network .plist files and rebooting.
Does anyone have a similar experience and a fix/any advice they could give? It'd be much appreciated, I wanna play some WoW!
You do not need to set the bandwidth settings, unless the downloader is going so fast it causes other internet lag on your network, if you set it at 0 it will download and upload at the maximum your network will allow.
if you want it faster, put in a higher value, ie 500 (for limiting speed to 500kb/s)
Or, put in 0 for unlimited. It'll go as fast as it can.
